Not that Stresa is very big, but tourists young and old still like to take at least one ride in Il Trenino, the small choo choo train that travels around Stresa all day long. For a few euros passengers will get a good overview of the town, seeing where things are to return to later. The train begins and ends in the large parking lot called Piazza Marconi, the one in front of the Stresa imbarcadero. There is also a special train which travels back and forth from the same spot in the parking lot to the gardens and zoo at Villa Pallavicino. Tickets are purchased right next to the train from a kiosk.
